Bella’s 22nd annual benefit Gala for Life will take place on Thursday, October 5, 2023, 6:30-8:30 pm at the Spearfish Holiday Inn Convention Center (off I-90, Exit 14). The event will feature a delicious banquet, an inspiring program, and an opportunity for attendees to offer their support of Bella’s mission to women and men in unplanned pregnancies.
This year’s Gala program will include special music, an annual update, a testimony from a client who received help at Bella, and a keynote address from Melissa Ohden, who is a second trimester saline abortion survivor.
Bella is currently seeking underwriters and table sponsors for the event.
Underwriters
Underwriters stand as the foundation of the fundraising process for the entire Gala for Life.
Your support as an underwriter, to cover the primary Gala expenses, provides assurance to those who attend the Gala that 100% of their pledges and donations will go directly to Bella’s mission. This type of assurance encourages far more generous giving at the Gala, which means that the underwriter’s investment in Bella Pregnancy Resource Center will be multiplied several times over.
Benefits of Sponsorship
- Your name or logo will appear on the Gala for Life promotional and event materials
- You will receive an appreciation certificate
- You will receive VIP seating at the Gala for Life
- Your sponsorship gift is tax-deductible
However, the greatest benefit of sponsorship will be in the number of lives that will be impacted in the coming year as a result of your partnership with Bella.

Table Sponsorship
Bella’s table sponsors are the heart of the Gala for Life! They are businesses, churches, and individuals that not only partner with Bella to educate and impact Bella’s clients but encourage others to become involved with the life-affirming ministry of Bella through the Gala for Life.
Table sponsorship is just $200, which provides the table sponsor with tickets for eight to the Gala for Life. Table sponsors then invite people they know to join them at the Gala for Life as their guests, so they can introduce them to the life-affirming ministry of Bella. The semi-formal event includes dinner, an inspirational message, information about Bella’s ministry, testimonials, and an opportunity for attendees to make a financial contribution to Bella.
(Tables will be assigned in the order of responses received. Table sponsors will be acknowledged in the program and on your table. According to IRS guidelines, table sponsorship gifts are not tax-deductible.)

Sponsorship Deadlines
Underwriters: To have your name and logo appear in the promotional materials for the Gala, please let us know by Thursday, August 31* if you would like to help underwrite the Gala for Life.
Table Sponsors: To assure your table reservation for the Gala, please let us know by Friday, September 15* if you would like to sponsor one or more tables for the Gala for Life.

Tickets
Tickets are available for the Gala for Life at just $25 each. They can be purchased through noon on Thursday, September 28, 2023 by using the secure order form on the event information page, stopping by our office, or calling Bella at (605) 642-4140. Your ticket will cover your admission to the Gala for Life, the banquet, and the program.
An opportunity to financially partner with Bella Pregnancy Resource Center will be extended.
Special Guest Speaker: Melissa Ohden
We are thrilled to announce that Melissa Ohden will be the keynote speaker at Bella’s October 5th Gala for Life. Please read through the following short bio on Melissa and then come hear her story first-hand at the Gala!
Life empowers women, not abortion, and Melissa Ohden is one of likely tens of thousands of abortion survivors who exemplify this. Melissa is the survivor of a failed saline infusion abortion, but like every survivor, she is so much more than a survivor.
Melissa is a master’s level prepared Social Worker and the author of You Carried Me: A Daughter’s Memoir. She is the Founder and Director of The Abortion Survivors Network, the only healing and advocacy organization for abortion survivors world-wide, and The Education and Policy Center, which impacts policy issues related to abortion and abortion survivors. Melissa is a frequent contributor to pro-life and conservative news outlets and a regular guest on radio and television programs around the world including Fox News, Focus on the Family, Hannity, The Eric Metaxas Show, Huckabee, and more. Although Melissa’s heart is for providing help and hope to all affected by abortion, she also strives to humanize the unborn through activism. She has testified before Congressional committees numerous times, as well as lobbied, and even met President Trump in the Oval Office in 2019.
Fulfilling the purpose that she believes God set out for her when He saved her from the certain death of the abortion attempt, Melissa is truly a voice for the voiceless.
