When a woman is pregnant, her body produces a hormone called HCG, which is found in her urine and in her blood. A pregnancy test yields a positive result when this hormone is present. After a positive test result, one of our trained nurses may perform a free and confidential ultrasound examination, which can confirm pregnancy.
